Turbine Railcar Train

a train consisting of one or more railcars, some of which are motor cars with gas-turbine engines. Turbine railcar trains are economical and characterized by high speeds, up to 200–250 km/hour. They are used to transport passengers and freight.

Turbine railcar trains have been used experimentally since 1968 in the USSR, the USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, and other countries; they are being introduced into regular service.
