Scultetus binder

A many-tailed binder or bandage wrapped in a succession of interlocking, overlapping bands and originally used to enclose a splint against a fractured extremity but now used without the splint or impregnated as a supporting bandage of the abdomen or lower extremity. The binder holds dressings in place and supports abdominal muscles postoperatively.

Scultetus position

A position in which the head is low and the body is on an inclined plane.
