oversensing

o·ver·sens·ing

(ō'vĕr-sens'ing), Sensing of electrical or magnetic signals, which normally should not be sensed by a pacemaker, but result in inappropriate inhibition of the pacemaker's output.

oversensing

Cardiac pacing Inhibition of a pacemaker to events other than those which the pacemaker was designed to sense–eg, myopotentials, electromagnetic interference, T-waves, crosstalk, etc. See Cardiac pacing.
