Years of birth and death unknown. Born in Yaroslavl’. Russian painter active in the mid-17th century.

Vladimirov was an icon painter in the armory [of the Moscow Kremlin]. He also participated in executing the wall paintings in the Uspenskii Cathedral (1642-44), the Arkhangelsk Cathedral (from 1652), the Troitsa church in Nikitniki (1652-53) in Moscow, and the Uspenskii Cathedral in Rostov-Yaroslavlski (1659). In his treatise (an Epistle to S. F. Ushakov), Vladimirov advocated the use of chiaroscuro in icon painting, a technique which brings art closer to nature.
