Location:20 miles north of Clarkesville on GA 197.
Facilities:55 tent/trailer/RV campsites, picnic shelter, interpretive trail (1mile), hiking trail (2 miles), observation tower, lake, boat dock andramp, fishing pier (é), canoe and jon boat rentals, playground.
Activities:Camping, boating, lake fishing, stream fishing (restricted to childrenunder 12 and seniors 65 and older), hiking, wildlife viewing.
Special Features:Moccasin Creek is known as the park "where spring spends the summer." It sits nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains beside the shores of Lake Burton, deep within Chattahoochee National Forest (see entry in national forests section).
