MDAI
A designer-type recreational drug which, in the pure form, is non-neurotoxic, acts as a highly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and serotonin-releasing agent, and has a high affinity for the serotonin transporter. It is pharmacologically and functionally similar to MDMA, and it has three distinct cues:• Stimulant—as in methamphetamine;
• Hallucinogen—as in LSD;
• Entactogen—as in MBDB.
Some data suggest that it may be a more effective antidepressant than the current generation of SSRIs.
