Location:3 miles west of Laclede on US 36, and 1 mile northeast on a gravel road (Danube Drive) in Linn County.
Facilities:Picnic area.
Special Features:Originally known as the Linn County Bridge, at 151 feet this bridge isthe longest of the four remaining covered bridges in the state. TheHowe-truss bridge was built in 1868 and housed America's firsttranscontinental road, Route 8. Bridge is reached by a quarter-milewalk down a historic road.
