McMullen, Clements

(1892–1959) aviator; born in Largo, Fla. A civil engineer, he entered the air service after the U.S.A. entered World War I. In 1930 he completed a then-record flight from New York to Buenos Aires. He held several key air support and logistics posts in the U.S.A. and the Pacific during World War II.
