oiticica oil[‚ȯid·ə′sē·kə ‚ȯil] (materials) A light-yellowish oil obtained from seeds of the Brazilian oiticica tree (Licania rigida); raw oil becomes buttery unless heat-treated (semipolymerized); used principally in paint and varnish as a drying oil as a substitute for tung oil or with tung oil. |
