McKim, Charles F.

(1847–1909)American architect, in partnership with William Mead and Stanford White, the largest architectural practice of its time in the United States. His bold design was expressed best in Pennsylvania Station (illus.), NYC (1911), now demolished. Another important work is the layout and design of the Columbia University campus (1901) and the Morgan Library (1903), both in NYC.
