Nycterinia
(also Zaluzianskya), a genus of herbaceous plants or subshrubs of the family Scrophulariaceae. The flowers are in spicate inflorescences. The corolla is not brightly colored and is sometimes whitish; it has a long tube and five-lobed blade. There are about 40 species in southern Africa. They are valued in floriculture as fragrant night-blooming plants. Some species, for example, Nocapensis, are raised as annuals
