| 释义 | MMP17MMP17A gene on chromosome 12q24.3 that encodes membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase 17. Unlike other matrix metalloproteinaes, which are secreted as inactive proproteins and activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases, MMP17 is membrane bound as a GPI-anchored protein. It activates MMP2 by cleavage; it does not hydrolyse collagen types I, II, III, IV and V, gelatin, fibronectin, laminin, decorin or alpha1-antitrypsin. |
