LNB
LNB(Low-Noise Block downconverter) The component in a satellite dish that converts incoming microwave gigahertz signals to intermediate frequencies in the megahertz range. For example, C-Band frequencies (3.7-4.2 GHz) are downconverted to 950-1450 MHz. In the late 1980s, the feedhorn that collects the signals and the polarizer that filters the signals were incorporated into the unit, which became an LNB-feedhorn (LNBF).LNB
