While the Index is published weekly, it contains responses gathered over a period of four weeks. The Index is not seasonally adjusted, but it breaks down responses by age, gender, income, education, employment, and region. Its value goes from -100 to +100; consistent declines may be a predictor for coming declines in consumer spending. |
