Mgachi

an urban-type settlement in Sakhalin Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the west coast of Sakhalin Island on the bank of the Tatar Strait, 31 km north of Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinskii and 60 km northwest of the Tymovskoe railroad station. Coal is mined there.
