A shortened registration statement required by the Securities and Exchange Commission on debt issues with less than a nine-month maturity.

Offering Statement

A document filed with the SEC explaining a new issue of securities for public trade with a maturity of less than nine months. An offering statement is shorter than other registration statements and allows for an expedited process. This makes registration of new issues easier for the issuer.
