Liudinovo

 

a city in Kaluga Oblast, RSFSR, on the shore of Lake Lompad’, which was formed by damming the Nepolot’ River. It has a railroad station on the Briansk-Viaz’ma line, 65 km north of Briansk and 188 km southwest of Kaluga. Population, 34,000 (1970). The principal industries are a diesel locomotive plant, an iron foundry, a plant producing tractor parts, and a clothing factory. It has a machine-building technicum.
