Liuchiang
Liuchiang
a river in South China, the main (left) tributary of the Hsi Chiang. Length, 724 km; basin area, 57,900 sq km. The river rises on the Kueichow Plateau. In its upper course it crosses regions where karstic limestones are widespread, forming gorges with many rapids. The Liuchiang is fed primarily by rain. It is navigable to the city of Liuchow.
