Liubim
a city and the administrative center of Liubim Raion, Yaroslavl Oblast, RSFSR. It is situated at the confluence of the Ucha and Obnora Rivers (Volga basin), 123 km northeast of Yaroslavl. The city has a railroad station on the Danilov-Bui line and is the site of the Communist Youth International lumber mill, an industrial combine, and a people’s amateur theater. It is the birthplace of the poet L. N. Trefolev. First mentioned in historical documents in 1546, it became a city in 1777.
