A-DNA

A-DNA

a form of DNA in which the helix is right handed and the overall appearance is short and broad.

A DNA

DNA which is structurally similar to B- and Z-DNA, has a right-handed helical structure, but is shorter, more compact and occurs only in dehydated DNA samples. It is one of several double-helical forms of DNA, which can also be assumed by DNA-RNA hybrid helices and by regions of double-stranded RNA.

A-DNA

a configuration of DNA in which the helix is right-handed and there is a complete turn about every 11th NUCLEOTIDE. See DNA STRUCTURE.
