Location:In northeast Massachusetts, on the North Shore. Access via Rt 95 or I-495.

Activities:Fishing, picnicking, hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, horsebackriding, cross-country skiing, group day use activities, interpretiveprograms (seasonal).
Special Features:Formerly a private estate on the banks of the Merrimack River, the parkfeatures 19th-century gardens with masses of azaleas and rhododendrons(peak bloom is in May and June), as well as one of the largestnaturally-occurring stands of mountain laurel in the state.
