Dates of birth and death unknown. A German who took part in the Swedish intervention in Russia in the early 17th century.

Schaum was the author of a work on Russian political history, in which he described battles at Ladoga and Korela (Priozersk), the Swedes’ capture of Novgorod, and their negotiations with Russian officials.
