[¦em¦ī¦tē ′bag ‚mäd·əl] (particle physics) A model describing quark confinement in hadrons in which a hadron is viewed as a bubble of gas in a uniform, isotropic, perfect fluid, with the thermodynamic pressure of the gas replaced by the quantum pressure of quarks.
