Laplink cable

Laplink cable

A cable used to connect two computers together for file transfer. Prior to USB, laplink cables were serial cables, technically "null modem cables," but often called Laplink cables due to the popularity of the Laplink program. The serial Laplink cable simulates two telephone modems, crossing the receiving line with the sending line. Laplink Software, Inc. also offers parallel and USB cables for direct connection between two machines. See Laplink.
