Macrolith a massive tool (ax, pick, gouge) made from a flint nodule worked over by flaking on two sides with crude chips. Macroliths were widespread in the early Neolithic and somewhat in the late Neolithic in much of Europe and in Australia and Tierra del Fuego. In the USSR, macroliths have been found in the Upper Volga Region, in the Ukraine, and elsewhere. |
