Laoyehling
Laoyehling
(also Laoling), the name of several mountain ranges in the northern part of the Manchurian-Korean Mountains in Northeast China. They are basically composed of crystalline rock. The main range extends from the southwest to the northeast for 475 km, forming a divide between the basins of the Mutan and Muling rivers. In the southwest medium-altitude mountains prevail (Mount Erhlungshan, 1,194 m), and in the northeast there are low mountains (400–760 m). Broad-leaved forests, many of which have been cut down, are found on the slopes.
