Lanovtsy

an urban-type settlement, the administrative center of Lanovtsy Raion, Ternopol’ Oblast, the Ukrainian SSR; situated at the influx of the Zherd’ River into the Zhirak (a tributary of the Goryn’). A station on the Shepetovka-Ternopol’ railroad line. Lanovtsy produces reinforced-concrete structures, asphalt, bricks, milk, bread, mixed feed, sugar, and rubber goods. There is a poultry combine in the settlement.
