Location:12 miles east of Ellsworth, near Kanopolis State Park (see separate entry).
Facilities:Day use area only, with historic landmark.
Special Features:Kansas' smallest state park features unusual mushroom-shaped rocks thatserved as landmarks and meeting places for Native Americans and earlypioneers. The rocks are a geological phenomenon of sandstone spheresbalanced on softer pedestals of sandstone, with the largest rockmeasuring 27 feet in diameter.
