The average elevation is 800-1,000 m, with a maximum elevation of 1,440 m (Mount Woodroffe). The mountains are composed of Precambrian granite; they are greatly dissected, mainly by dry valleys. Sparse eucalyptus groves and Spinifex sod cover the slopes. |
