Langak

 

or Rakas, a lake in the southwest of the Tibetan upland, in China. The lake is situated at an altitude of 4,541 m, in a mountain valley between the Great Himalaya and Kailas ranges; it is 28 km long and up to 14 km wide, with an area of 360 sq km. During high-water periods the waters of Lake Lan-gak and of Lake Manasarowar, which is at a higher elevation, flow into the Sutlej River (Indus Basin).
