Neuruppin

a city in the German Democratic Republic, in the Potsdam district, on Lake Ruppin. Population, 27,000 (1971). It is a railroad junction. Neuruppin is linked by the Ruppin Canal with the Havel River canal system. Food-processing and metalworking enterprises are located in the city.
