Location:23 miles east of Gabbs, via NV 844. Park is open year round, but extreme winter weather conditions may prohibit travel.
Facilities:14 campsites (some suitable for RVs), restrooms, picnic areas, trails, historic sites, visitor center.
Activities:Camping, hiking, guided tours, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Park was first established to protect and display North America'smost abundant concentration and largest known Ichthyosaur fossils.Ichthyosaurs were giant marine reptilesthat swam in warm ocean waters that covered this part of Nevada 225million years ago. The park also preserves the mining town of Berlin aswell as the Diana Mine.
