Land Register
Land Register
(Russian zemel’naia shnurovaia kniga’, literally, land corded book), a book for the registration of lands for permanent and long-range use of agricultural enterprises. The format for the land register was confirmed by the Gosplan (State Planning Committee) of the USSR and the Central Statistical Board of the USSR on Sept. 22, 1962. The land register consists of four sections. The first section records the total area of land of permanent and long-range use, as well as the basis for the right to use this land. The second section deals with the structure of the land of permanent or long-range use, according to the types of land. The third section contains information on the quality of agricultural lands. The fourth section deals with the private plots of kolkhozniks, production and clerical workers, and other citizens. The manager of the farm and the specialist in charge of land registration are held accountable for incorrect and late entries into the land register. The chief (senior) land-use surveyor of the raion executive committee’s agricultural administration supervises the correctness and updating of the land register.
