Master “2-step” exercise test Master “2-step” exercise test [mas´ter] a type of exercise testing; electrocardiographic tracings are recorded first while the subject repeatedly ascends and descends two steps, then immediately after exercise cessation, and then 2 and 6 minutes after cessation. The amount of work (number of trips) is standardized for age, weight, and sex. treadmill exercise tests are now more commonly used. |
