Lamm, Norman

(1927– ) rabbi; born in New York City. He graduated from Yeshiva University in 1949 and earned his Ph.D. there in 1966. He was the founder and editor of Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought (1957). He began teaching Jewish philosophy at Yeshiva University (New York City) in 1959, then became its president (1976).
