Moscow Upland

 

an upland extending from the upper course of the Voria and Moscow rivers to the upper course of the Koloksha River, in the northern parts of the Moscow and Vladimir oblasts, RSFSR. It has elevations to 310 m. The fundament is composed primarily of Cretaceous and Jurassic sand and clay deposits covered with glacial deposits. Eroded morainal relief predominates. The Moscow Upland is covered with mixed forests (birch, aspen, fir).
