An unconventional style of cancer management that originated with Dr Max Gerson in the 1920s, which consists of bowel enemas to rid the body of unspecified toxins accumulated by an “unhealthy” lifestyle (unnatural foods, preservatives, pesticides and industrial pollution) as well as dietary modifications, often supplemented with vitamins or minerals.
