Facilities:97 drive-in campsites (66 with electrical hookups), showers (é),flush toilets (é), 10 walk-in campsites, 2 group camps, group center,camper cabin, picnic area (é), picnic shelters (é), volleyballcourt, playground (é), horseshoe pits, hiking trails (14 miles),self-guided trail (1 mile), wheelchair-accessible trails (7.5 miles),paved bike trail (6 miles), ski trails (3 miles), snowmobile trails (5miles), warming house, swimming beach, boat launch, boat and canoerentals, historic site, interpretive exhibits, visitor center (é),gift shop.

Special Features:Park contains the largest lake in southwestern Minnesota, which formsthe headwaters of the Des Moines River. "Shetek" is an Ojibwe wordmeaning "pelican," a bird that visits Lake Shetek during the summer andfall. Loon Island, a 45-acre bird sanctuary, is accessible on foot viaa causeway and includes an interpretive trail.
