Location:9 miles north of Ogallala, off NE 61, just below Kingsley Dam.
Facilities:262 campsites (62 with electrical hookups), modern restrooms, showers,picnic areas, 2 boat ramps, hiking trail (2 miles), 2 docks, boat rentals, fish cleaningstation, fishing pier (é), concessions (including lodging).
Activities:Camping, boating (all types; 5 mph limit), fishing, hiking.
Special Features:Known locally as the "little lake," Lake Ogallala is just below themuch larger Lake McConaughy, at the base of Kingsley Dam. Water entersLake Ogallala from the bottom of Lake McConaughy and is extremely cold.
