linearized theory of fluid flow |
| 释义 |
linearized theory of fluid flow linearized theory of fluid flow[¦lin·ē·ə‚rīzd ‚thē·ə·rē əv ′flü·əd ‚flō] (fluid mechanics) An approximate method for solving aerodynamic problems; it treats the flow of an inviscid gas past a body whose geometry and motion are such that the disturbance velocities caused by its introduction into some previously known flow are small compared with the speed of sound; as a result, the equations of motion can be approximated by retaining only those terms which are linear in disturbance or perturbation velocities, pressures, densities, and so forth. |
