orifice injury

orifice injury

A generic term for the constellation of injuries caused by high-pressure jets of water that emanate from the rear of jet ski personal watercraft. While any region of the body is susceptible to injury from high-power jets, the lower abdomen, anus/rectum and vagina are particularly so. Permanent damage to the sacral plexus, bladder and orifices, tearing of the abdominal wall, disfigurement and death have been documented in the medical literature.
