Morse Telegraph
Morse Telegraph
an electromechanical telegraph apparatus for transmission and reception of communications in Morse code. It was invented by S. Morse in 1837. Its transmitter is a telegraph key, and its receiver is an electromagnet whose armature controls the movement of a lever with a writing wheel at its end. The wheel touches a paper tape drawn at a uniform speed by a spring-driven clockwork mechanism and produces an intermittent ink trace on the tape.
