Nursery Pond

a summer pond for growing fry transplanted from spawning or breeding ponds up to the fingerling stage. The area of the pond is 5-10 (up to 20) hectares, with fertile soil. The average depth is 60-80 cm, with 1.5 m near the floodgate. The pond fills with water in 10 days, and there should be a change of water in not more than 5-10 days. A constant flow of water is desirable.
