Nazyvaevsk

a city and center of Nazyvaevsk Raion, Omsk Oblast, RSFSR. Railroad station on the Omsk-Tiumen’ line, 150 km northwest of Omsk. Population, 15,800 (1970). Nazyvaevsk has railroad transport enterprises and a food-processing industry that includes a dairy and a meat-packing plant. Among enterprises of light industry is a knitwear factory. Nazyvaevsk came into being in 1910 in connection with the construction of the railroad; it became a city in 1956.
