an urban-type settlement in Vichuga Raion, Ivanovo Oblast, RSFSR; situated on the Sunzha River (a tributary of the Volga), 15 km from the Vichuga railroad station on the Ivanovo-Kineshma line. Novopistsovo has a flax-processing mill.
