Morey, Charles

Morey, Charles (Rufus)

(1877–1955) art historian; born in Hastings, Mich. He studied at the University of Michigan (B.A. 1899; M.A. 1900; Ph.D. 1938), the University of Chicago (Ph.D. 1941), New York University (D.F.A. 1942), and Yale (Ph.D. 1951). Beginning in 1918 he taught at Princeton and in Rome, specializing in early Christian art.
