one-star rating

one-star rating

A rating accorded an NHS trust in the UK based on the star rating system which assessed organisational performance in terms of service to its patients. Trusts with one star raised concerns in particular areas of the Healthcare Commission’s Performance Indicators. The star rating system was abandoned in 2006 and replaced by annual health checks for assessing the quality of care provided by the trust, as the star system relied too heavily on objective targets than on overall patient care and satisfaction.
