Mordyiakha
Mordyiakha
a river in the Yamal-Nenets National Okrug, Tiumen’ Oblast, RSFSR, on the Yamal Peninsula. Length, 300 km; basin area, 8,350 sq km. The river rises in Lake lambuto and flows in two branches into the Kara Sea. It is fed by snow and rain. Its right tributary is the Seiakha River. The Mordyiakha is well stocked with fish: muksun, least cisco and, at the river’s mouth, navaga (Eleginus navaga), and smelt.
