Location:West of Springfield, near Ash Grove in Greene County.

Special Features:This one-and-one-half story log house was the home of Daniel Boone'syoungest child, Colonel Nathan Boone, a hunter, soldier, surveyor, andentrepreneur. Boone's three sons and two of his slaves built the housein 1837, which was the hub of a 720-acre farm. He, his wife, and otherfamily members are buried near the house, while another cemetery nearBoone's grave contains the remains of at least 16 men, women, andchildren who were kept as slaves on the farm.
