Lulua

a river in Zaire, Central Africa, a right tributary of the Kasai River (Congo [Zaire] system). Length, approximately 900 km. It rises on the Lunda plateau, and descending from its northern slopes, forms rapids and waterfalls. Water levels rise during the rainy season, which lasts from September-October through April. The river is navigable in the lower course for 55 km from the mouth.
